Tropic Marin ® Carbocalcium Powder is ultra- concentrated crystalline calcium and carbonate hardness to be dissolved in reverse osmosis water to produce the well-known Carbo-Calcium solution. With this unique solution, the entire calcium and carbonate hardness requirements of a typical reef aquarium can be covered, and it ensures vigorous growth of stony corals, red calcareous algae and other reef organisms. 100 g carbocalcium powder contains more than 30,000 mg calcium and more than 4,000 ° dH.
The highly productive product is suitable for all pool sizes and avoids the side effects of other methods of lime hardening: With Carbocalcium powder, the pH value remains stable; there is no excess of CO 2 and there is no risk of unwanted phosphates being introduced via coral breakage. In addition, there is neither a creeping increase in salinity nor increased oxygen consumption due to carbon compounds. The solution produced is suitable for both manual dosing and dosing pumps.

The 700 g can of carbocalcium powder is sufficient for 5 liters of dosing solution, the 1400 g can for 10 liters of dosing solution.
To prepare the liquid mineral mixture, 6 level measuring spoons (approx. 140 g) of carbocalcium powder are dissolved in 1 l of reverse osmosis water. This solution has a long shelf life and contains approx. 43,000 mg calcium and 6,000 ° carbonate hardness.
Then start with a daily dosage of 5 ml of the mineral solution per 100 l aquarium volume. Increase the daily dosage - while checking the carbonate hardness - weekly by 2.5 ml per 100 l aquarium volume until you achieve a constant carbonate hardness of 7 to 9 ° dH.
Maximum dosage: 25 ml per 100 l aquarium volume daily.
