Regular price $149.99
Features: Overall mineral supply for reef aquariums
ALL-FOR-REEF is an easy- to-use, highly concentrated solution for the supply of ALL essential minerals and trace elements in new or moderately stocked reef aquariums.
Minerals are consumed through the growth of organisms and other processes in the aquarium and must therefore be supplemented regularly. These include mainly the necessary elements calcium, magnesium and strontium and carbonate hardness elements for the growth of the calcareous skeletons of stony corals, red coralline algae and other reef organisms. ALL FOR REEF contains all these components in highly concentrated form and also contains the most important trace elements: Iodine, bromine and fluorine for growth and stabilization of the skeletons of stony corals, sponges and crustaceans; selenium to eliminate free radicals; molybdenum and vanadium for the establishment of important enzyme complexes.
With these components, co-ordinated in their concentration ratio, ALL-FOR-REEF creates excellent care conditions in only one solution. No additional compounds are created (e.g. sodium chloride) that alter the salinity or the ion balance.
Ingredients: Organic calcium salts, salts of magnesium, trace elements (barium, boron, bromine, chrome, cobalt, copper, fluorine, iodine, iron, lithium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, selenium, strontium, vanadium and zinc in pure mineral form)
Benefits:
Complete mineral supply in only one solution
The most important trace elements are already included (all elements of the Tropic Marin® K+ ELEMENTS & A- ELEMENTS)
No formation of by-products (e.g. sodium chloride); the salinity and the ion balance are not altered
No formation of excess carbon dioxide
Suitable for an aquarium stocked with soft corals, LPS, SPS, other filter feeders and/or crustaceans
Easy to apply – suitable both for manual dosing and for dosing pumps
How to use:
The 800 g dose of All-For-Reef Powder is enough for 5 litres of dosing solution, the 1600 g dose is enough for 10 litres of dosing solution.
Start with a daily dose of 5 ml of ALL-FOR-REEF per 100 litres (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume. PRO-REEF Meersalz / Sea Salt
Regular price $159.99 Sale price $149.99 Save $10.00Features:
The pharmaceutical grade sea salt especially for modern reef aquaria.
Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF Sea Salt has been designed to meet the special requirements of reef aquariums with optimized concentrations of calcium and magnesium, which promote the growth of corals. The lower buffering and the correct pH value serve to stabilize the natural water values, and particularly, the hardness of carbonates, even with the use of calcium reactors. Natural and stable conditions for delicate marine life are achieved only by accurately balancing all influencing factors.
Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF is thus the ideal foundation for the care and growth of fish, corals and other aquatic invertebrates in modern reef aquariums. Use seawater prepared with Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF for regular water changes in your seawater aquarium, to start a new aquarium and to re-equilibrate the pH of a tank.
Benefits:
Optimizes calcium- and magnesium concentrations as well as alkalinity and pH.
Designed to meet the special requirements of modern reef aquaria with higher calcium requirements.
Especially designed for use with calcium reactors or mineral additives.
To maintain the alkalinity in a 7-8° dKH range.
Manufactured from pure, pharmaceutical grade salts.
Contains all major- and minor elements in the exact proportions found in tropical sea water.
The 70 trace elements are completely soluble due to the use of the mixed-crystal method.
Compliance with the most stringent quality control measures for the production of pharmaceuticals ensures nature-identical seawater.
Free from nitrates, phosphates and other unwanted chemicals.
How to use:
To achieve a salinity level of 32-35 ‰ (psu), dissolve 35 ml of Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF per liter or approximately ½ cup of Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF per US gallon water. Dissolve almost all of the salt in a clean container already filled with the full volume of RO/DI water at a temperature of 73-77°F / 23-25°C while circulating/stirring the water. Do not concentrate the mixture by adding the full amount of salt to a smaller amount of water.
Note: Always add the salt to the water, never the water to the salt. Making a concentrated mixture will cause a calcium carbonate precipitate to form.
When you have added ALMOST all of the salt and the mixture is fully dissolved and clear, start measuring the specific gravity with a hydrometer or similar instrument. Keep adding small amounts of salt until the specific gravity is the value you desire. The specific gravity of the sea salt solution should range from 1.025 to 1.027 (at 73-77°F / 23-25°C) and the pH-value should be in the range of 8.0 – 8.4. If all parameters are correct, the salt water is ready to use.
After setting up a new aquarium it takes a few weeks of water being circulated and correct lighting conditions to achieve the biologically stable environment required for the care and breeding of delicate marine organisms.
A weekly, partial water change, replacing 10 % of the total water volume with Tropic Marin® PRO-REEF, will help to maintain the water quality that your livestock needs for good health.
Parameters: approx. 7° KH, calcium approx. 440 ppm, magnesium approx. 1350 ppm
Application: For reef tanks with higher calcium requirements. To maintain the alkalinity in a 7-8° dKH range; particularly suitable when using a calcium reactor.
Use the new dosing calculator for an easy determination of the required amount of salt for your aquarium.

CARBON 400g
Regular price $38.99Features:
Activated carbon to combat yellow matter and harmful substances
Yellow matter and harmful substances have an adverse effect on the conditions in an aquarium. The water needs to be free of yellow matter if the light is to be allowed to penetrate unfiltered to the corals, plants and fish and bring out their natural colors. Tropic Marin® CARBON is a highly efficient activated carbon with a powerful capacity for adsorbing yellow matter and harmful substances without releasing excessive amounts of phosphate and silicate. After just a short period of use a clear improvement can be seen in the water thanks to the removal of yellowing substances and pollutants. Aquarium inhabitants benefit from the improved amount of light and are restored to their natural colors.

In order to enhance the effect of Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance, however, the dosage may be increased every 2 weeks by 0.25 ml per 100 liters/25 US-Gal. of aquarium water daily, in no case more than the maximum daily dose of 1 ml each 100 l/25 US-Gal. of aquarium system water volume. For best results, add Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance to a high water flow area in the tank at the beginning of the lighting cycle. Attention: A dosage of 1 ml each 100 l/25 US-Gal. of aquarium system water volume must not be exceeded. If a clouding of the tank is observed after the elevation of the dosage of Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance, the dosage should be reduced to the previous level.

Plus-NP 200ML
Regular price $78.99Features:
Liquid concentrate for supplying important nutrients for corals
In order to thrive, corals require certain minimum concentrations of phosphates and nitrogen compounds for their metabolism and the metabolism of their zooxanthellae. Aquariums that are very low in nutrients (ULNS = ultra low nutrient system) are particularly prone to a lack of these compounds.
Tropic Marin® Plus-NP provides these phosphates and nitrogen compounds in concentrations that are tailored to the corals’ needs. As they are bound by an organic energy source, nitrogen and phosphates can be utilized by corals more efficiently than inorganic nutritional salt additives. This approach minimizes the loss of nutrients caused by denitrification and adsorption, prevents nutrient deficiency in the corals and restores growth.
The liquid concentrate Plus-NP is easy to use and is suitable both for manual dosing and for dosing pumps.
Benefits:
| • | A highly concentrated phosphate and nitrogen solution to counteract nutrient limitations for corals |
| • | Designed specifically for reef aquariums that are very low in nutrients (ULNS = ultra low nutrient system) |
| • | Suitable for an aquarium stocked with soft corals, LPS and SPS |
| • | Easy-to-dose liquid solution |
| • | Suitable for both manual dosage and for dosing pumps |
How to use:
Turn the pump head counterclockwise until it pops out. Add 1 ml (1 pump-full) to every 100 l/26 US-gal. of aquarium system volume every day until the nutrient limitation in the corals has been rectified and the corals display a normal level of growth and coloration.
Maximum dose: 1 ml per 100 l/26 US-gal. of aquarium system volume daily.
Suitable for both manual dosage and for dosing pumps. Store the bottle tightly sealed, in a cool and dark place!

Tropic Marin AMINO-ORGANIC 250ML
Regular price $49.00Important Coral Nutrients: Amino Acids and Nitrogen Compounds.
Stimulates coral growth, intensifies colouring and reduces phosphate in the reef aquarium biologically
Pale or brownish corals are often caused by too weak a concentration of easily digestible nitrogen compounds. Tropic Marin® Amino-Organic contains amino acids and other organic nitrogen compounds that stimulate the growth of soft and leather corals, as well as disc disc anemones and zoanthids. This results in greater absorption, by the anthozoans, of the phosphate available from the water, biologically reducing phosphate concentrations. These near-natural conditions result in the anthozoans opening better, visibly flourishing, with greater vitality and a more intense colouring. Tropic Marin® Amino-Organic does not contain nitrates or phosphates.
BENEFITS:
-
CONTAINS VALUABLE AMINO ACIDS AND MINERALS
- adds readily digestible organic nitrogen compounds to the aquarium
- delivers a balanced nitrogen/phosphate ratio (N:P) if the water contains excessive amounts of phosphates
- biologically reduces elevated phosphate concentrations
- stimulates coral growth '
- corals thrive with greater vitality and exhibit improved colouring
- increased opening of the polyps of anthozoans
- nitrates and phosphates free
FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS:
Add a maximum of 5 ml (0,17 fl. oz.) Tropic Marin® Amino-Organic to 200 litres (52 gallons) of aquarium water daily.
Do not use with phosphate concentrations below 0.03 mg/l, during the start-up phase of the aquarium, or in the presence of undesired dinoflagellates!
Oxidising filters, such as trickle filters, canister filters and bio filters, can reduce the effectiveness of Tropic Marin® Amino-Organic. If a slight increase in nitrate levels is observed, this may be the cause and is generally harmless.

+ crystallized trace elements for the health and growth of all invertebrates
+ contains a concentrated supply of all trace elements found in natural seawater
+ for color intensity, health and growth of invertebrates
+ includes iodine and strontium
+ does not contain chelates, phosphates or nitrates
Application Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Mineral:
Add 5 g (approx. 1 level measuring spoon) each week per 50 liters/13 US Gal. of aquarium water. This increases the proportion of strontium to approx. 1.5 mg per liter and iodine to approx. 0.075 mg per liter. One can with 250 g is sufficient for approx. 2,500 liters/660 US Gal. The recommended maximum dosage is 2 measuring spoons a week per 50 liters/13 US Gal. Under no circumstances should this dosage be exceeded and it only applies to the exclusive use of Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Mineral. Application: Fill the enclosed measuring spoon with Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Mineral (levelling spatula is included). Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Mineral should be added in the filter/sump area of the aquarium at a sufficient distance from the pump, in order to prevent any undissolved crystals from coming into contact with the coral.

Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium 200g
Regular price $59.00Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium is made for the biologically ideal strontium supplement in reef aquariums. A sufficient supply of strontium is as essential for the growth and well-being of reef building corals as calcium. In the reef aquarium, the strontium concentration can drop rapidly to low values due to biological processes, precipitation and incorporation into the limestone skeleton. Tropic MarinBio-Strontium creates a natural environment in the aquarium and delivers strontium and carbon dioxide in a natural, biologically-available, powdered form and thus supports the healthy development of coral. Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium does not disturb the ionic balance in contrast to the single addition of strontium chloride.
Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium
+ biologically ideal strontium supplement for reef aquariums
+ creates nature identical conditions in aquarium
+ supplies essentially strontium and carbon dioxide in natural and biologically-available form
+ do not disturb the ionic balance (in contrast to the single addition of strontium chloride)
+ only natural substances are formed when dissolved: no chelates, no phosphates, no nitrates
Application of Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium:
When using the enclosed dosage spoon, level the Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium with the spatula for a precise measurement. Sprinkle one level measuring spoon full of Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium directly on the surface of the aquarium or sump water, while stirring with your hand or a non-metallic object. Wait for each spoonful to dissolve completely before adding the next.
One level measuring spoon increases the strontium level of 10 US Gal./37 l by about 2 ppm (= 2 mg/l). The natural concentration of seawater is 8 ppm (= 8 mg/l). In a reef aquarium the concentration of strontium decreases quickly through biological processes, precipitation and the use in the calcareous animals. A basic dosage of 1 level measuring spoon per 50 US Gal./190 l every two weeks is recommended. In an aquarium with a high population, the dosage can be as much as 1 level measuring spoon per 50 US Gal./190 l each week. High strontium concentrations in the aquarium may damage corals. Always be sure to monitor the strontium concentration.

Tropic Marin Potassium 500 ML
Regular price $69.00Potassium is an essential main nutrient for all organisms. In seawater the natural potassium concentration is ca. 408 ppm. Potassium consumption in saltwater aquaria usually is small since potassium does not form insoluble compounds and is only minimally adsorbed by other substances. The potassium level can often be maintained by water changes. The use of zeolites and other adsorbers can result in a potassium deficiency. One indication of potassium deficiency is loss of color in corals and the retraction of polyps.
With Tropic Marin® POTASSIUM the potassium concentration can be re-adapted to the natural level and may improve vitality and colors of many corals.
• Essential main nutrient for all organisms
• Improve vitality and colors of many corals
Use the new dosing calculator for an easy determination of the required amount of dosage for your aquarium.
The natural potassium concentration (approx. 408 mg/l) should not be exceeded – higher potassium concentrations can be harmful for sensitive invertebrates. On the other hand, by adjusting the potassium concentration to the natural level with Tropic Marin®POTASSIUM may improve vitality and colors of many corals. Potassium concentration should always be measured before dosing Tropic Marin® POTASSIUM.

Tropic Marin IODINE 50 ML
Regular price $59.00product description
Tropic Marin PRO-CORAL IOD 50 ml trace elements
Manufacturer: Tropic Marin
Lugol´s solution for saltwater aquaria
Of all the trace elements found in natural sea water, iodine is associated with the widest range of effects. Iodine prevents goiter as an important component of the thyroid hormone. It also is essential for the hardening of the chitinous exoskeleton of crustaceans. Coralline red algae deposit iodine in surface structures and gorgoniias deposit it in the axial skeleton.
The natural replenishment with trace elements is not guaranteed in a saltwater aquarium, iodine should be added to a marine aquarium on a regular basis. Experiments clearly show that PRO-CORAL IODINE improves the adaptation to light and the coloring of anthozoa, especially of hard corals. PRO-CORAL IODINE contains iodine in its most effective form, as elementary I2 in a Lugol´s solution.
Benefits:
| • | Lugol´s solution for saltwater aquaria |
| • | Essential trace element for sea dweller |
| • | Improves the adaptation to light and the coloring of anthozoa, especially of hard corals |
How to use:
Add one drop of PRO-CORAL IODINE per 200 l / 50 US gallons of aquarium system water volume in the circulation flow of the system daily. If a dosage day is missed, skip that dose. Do not make up lost days by adding doses together.
Iodine demand increases with aquarium population density. In heavily populated aquaria dosage may be increased up to the maximum dosage below.
Maximum dosage: Do not exceed a maximum dosage of two drops per 50 gallons of aquarium system water volume per day.
PRO-CORAL IODINE has to be stored dark.

Syn-Biotic Meersalz / Sea Salt
Regular price $89.99Features:
Pharmaceutically pure sea salt with probiotic bacteria and prebiotic bacteria food
The new Tropic Marin® Syn-Biotic Sea Salt contains probiotic bacteria for fish and shrimp and special prebiotic bacteria food to promote probiotic bacterial growth and to create low-nutrient conditions in the aquarium for LPS and SPS corals. The term synbiotic refers to supplements which combine probiotics and prebiotics in a form of synergism.]
Tropic Marin® Syn-Biotic Sea Salt is ideal when you are setting up a new tank and every time you expand the tank’s stock. It has been proven that probiotic bacteria help to overcome stress and disease while enhancing the health and well-being of fish and crustaceans. For the best results, the aquarium should have a water change with Syn-Biotic Sea Salt prior to any new stock being introduced.
The contained prebiotic additives promote the integration of nitrates and phosphates in bacterial mass for low-nutrient conditions and the vivid colours of LPS and SPS corals. For a sustained acclimatization of animals to the aquarium conditions and to stabilize the microbiology of the tank system we recommend using Syn-Biotic Sea Salt permanently. Each water change with Syn-Biotic Sea Salt automatically adds the probiotic bacteria necessary to maintain healthy biological processes.
Benefits:
It has been proven that probiotic bacteria improve the health and well-being of fish and crustaceans and assist them in overcoming stressful situations and illness
Prebiotic additives promote the integration of nitrates and phosphates in bacterial mass for low-nutrient conditions and the vivid colours of LPS and SPS corals
Contains additional nitrifying and de-nitrifying bacteria to support the nitrogen cycle
To maintain the alkalinity in a 8-9 °dH range.
Ideal for a new tank installation, a new stocking process and for every livestock increase
Suitable for permanent use – for a stable microbiology within the aquarium
Dissolves in water quickly and completely
Produced with pharmaceutically pure salts, without any nitrate or phosphate additives or other unnatural enrichments
Universally applicable – suitable for keeping and breeding fish, corals and other invertebrates, as well as seaweed
How to use:
To achieve a salinity level of 32 – 35 ‰ (psu), dissolve 35 ml (approx. 37-40 g/1.3-1.4 oz.) of Tropic Marin® Syn-Biotic for every litre or one half cup for every US-gallon of water in a container, stirring continuously. The specific gravity of the sea salt solution should be 1.025 to 1.027 at a temperature of 25 °C/77 °F. The prepared saltwater can be used as soon as the salt is fully dissolved.
Note: Always add the sea salt to the water – not the other way round. When checking the conductivity of freshly prepared Syn-Biotic saltwater the conductometer will show ca. 10 % low results, because the contained organic substances affect the measurement. We recommend measuring the specific gravity with the Tropic Marin® Hydrometer.
It is normal for the salt water to turn slightly cloudy and this indicates that the synbiotic additives are taking effect. After setting up a new aquarium it takes a few weeks of circulating and lighting to establish stable biological conditions for the care of delicate marine organisms. Changing up to 10 % of the water every week using Tropic Marin® Syn-Biotic helps to keep the water quality within the parameters most important to the delicate marine life in your aquarium.
