Plus-NP 200ML
Regular price $78.99Features:
Liquid concentrate for supplying important nutrients for corals
In order to thrive, corals require certain minimum concentrations of phosphates and nitrogen compounds for their metabolism and the metabolism of their zooxanthellae. Aquariums that are very low in nutrients (ULNS = ultra low nutrient system) are particularly prone to a lack of these compounds.
Tropic Marin® Plus-NP provides these phosphates and nitrogen compounds in concentrations that are tailored to the corals’ needs. As they are bound by an organic energy source, nitrogen and phosphates can be utilized by corals more efficiently than inorganic nutritional salt additives. This approach minimizes the loss of nutrients caused by denitrification and adsorption, prevents nutrient deficiency in the corals and restores growth.
The liquid concentrate Plus-NP is easy to use and is suitable both for manual dosing and for dosing pumps.
Benefits:
| • | A highly concentrated phosphate and nitrogen solution to counteract nutrient limitations for corals |
| • | Designed specifically for reef aquariums that are very low in nutrients (ULNS = ultra low nutrient system) |
| • | Suitable for an aquarium stocked with soft corals, LPS and SPS |
| • | Easy-to-dose liquid solution |
| • | Suitable for both manual dosage and for dosing pumps |
How to use:
Turn the pump head counterclockwise until it pops out. Add 1 ml (1 pump-full) to every 100 l/26 US-gal. of aquarium system volume every day until the nutrient limitation in the corals has been rectified and the corals display a normal level of growth and coloration.
Maximum dose: 1 ml per 100 l/26 US-gal. of aquarium system volume daily.
Suitable for both manual dosage and for dosing pumps. Store the bottle tightly sealed, in a cool and dark place!

Tropic Marin AMINO-ORGANIC 250ML
Regular price $49.00Important Coral Nutrients: Amino Acids and Nitrogen Compounds.
Stimulates coral growth, intensifies colouring and reduces phosphate in the reef aquarium biologically
Pale or brownish corals are often caused by too weak a concentration of easily digestible nitrogen compounds. Tropic Marin® Amino-Organic contains amino acids and other organic nitrogen compounds that stimulate the growth of soft and leather corals, as well as disc disc anemones and zoanthids. This results in greater absorption, by the anthozoans, of the phosphate available from the water, biologically reducing phosphate concentrations. These near-natural conditions result in the anthozoans opening better, visibly flourishing, with greater vitality and a more intense colouring. Tropic Marin® Amino-Organic does not contain nitrates or phosphates.
BENEFITS:
-
CONTAINS VALUABLE AMINO ACIDS AND MINERALS
- adds readily digestible organic nitrogen compounds to the aquarium
- delivers a balanced nitrogen/phosphate ratio (N:P) if the water contains excessive amounts of phosphates
- biologically reduces elevated phosphate concentrations
- stimulates coral growth '
- corals thrive with greater vitality and exhibit improved colouring
- increased opening of the polyps of anthozoans
- nitrates and phosphates free
FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS:
Add a maximum of 5 ml (0,17 fl. oz.) Tropic Marin® Amino-Organic to 200 litres (52 gallons) of aquarium water daily.
Do not use with phosphate concentrations below 0.03 mg/l, during the start-up phase of the aquarium, or in the presence of undesired dinoflagellates!
Oxidising filters, such as trickle filters, canister filters and bio filters, can reduce the effectiveness of Tropic Marin® Amino-Organic. If a slight increase in nitrate levels is observed, this may be the cause and is generally harmless.

| • | Cleans corals from the most common epiphytes, parasites and impurities |
| • | Gentle treatment of corals |
| • | No stress to the tank from medication or biocides as it used as a bath |
| • | Immediate monitoring of success, any fallen epiphytes and parasites are left behind in the bath |
| • | Unlike conventional PVP iodine for wound care, with no phosphates |
How to use:
A glass or plastic container, which holds the coral during the treatment, is filled with sea water from the aquarium. 1 ml Tropic Marin® Coral Clean is dosed into the prepared container per 100 ml water and mixed well with the water. The new coral is fully immersed in this short bath and left for ten to fifteen minutes. Before the coral is put back into the aquarium, the coral should be shaken lightly in the bath to shake off any deposits and undesirable adhering organisms.
Coral crabs should be carefully removed before treatment and placed back in the coral after treatment. The water quality of the aquarium should be checked regularly to maintain the health of the corals.
Note: In some cases it can take up to two days for the coral to open fully again after the bath.

This increases the proportion of strontium to approx. 1.5 mg per liter and iodine to approx. 0.075 mg per liter. One can with 250 g is sufficient for approx. 2,500 liters/660 US Gal. The recommended maximum dosage is 2 measuring spoons a week per 50 liters/13 US Gal. Under no circumstances should this dosage be exceeded and it only applies to the exclusive use of Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Mineral. Application: Fill the enclosed measuring spoon with Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Mineral (levelling spatula is included). Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Mineral should be added in the filter/sump area of the aquarium at a sufficient distance from the pump, in order to prevent any undissolved crystals from coming into contact with the coral.

Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium 200g
Regular price $59.00Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium is made for the biologically ideal strontium supplement in reef aquariums. A sufficient supply of strontium is as essential for the growth and well-being of reef building corals as calcium. In the reef aquarium, the strontium concentration can drop rapidly to low values due to biological processes, precipitation and incorporation into the limestone skeleton. Tropic MarinBio-Strontium creates a natural environment in the aquarium and delivers strontium and carbon dioxide in a natural, biologically-available, powdered form and thus supports the healthy development of coral. Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium does not disturb the ionic balance in contrast to the single addition of strontium chloride.
Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium
+ biologically ideal strontium supplement for reef aquariums
+ creates nature identical conditions in aquarium
+ supplies essentially strontium and carbon dioxide in natural and biologically-available form
+ do not disturb the ionic balance (in contrast to the single addition of strontium chloride)
+ only natural substances are formed when dissolved: no chelates, no phosphates, no nitrates
Application of Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium:
When using the enclosed dosage spoon, level the Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium with the spatula for a precise measurement. Sprinkle one level measuring spoon full of Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium directly on the surface of the aquarium or sump water, while stirring with your hand or a non-metallic object. Wait for each spoonful to dissolve completely before adding the next.
One level measuring spoon increases the strontium level of 10 US Gal./37 l by about 2 ppm (= 2 mg/l). The natural concentration of seawater is 8 ppm (= 8 mg/l). In a reef aquarium the concentration of strontium decreases quickly through biological processes, precipitation and the use in the calcareous animals. A basic dosage of 1 level measuring spoon per 50 US Gal./190 l every two weeks is recommended. In an aquarium with a high population, the dosage can be as much as 1 level measuring spoon per 50 US Gal./190 l each week. High strontium concentrations in the aquarium may damage corals. Always be sure to monitor the strontium concentration.

Tropic Marin Potassium 500 ML
Regular price $69.00Potassium is an essential main nutrient for all organisms. In seawater the natural potassium concentration is ca. 408 ppm. Potassium consumption in saltwater aquaria usually is small since potassium does not form insoluble compounds and is only minimally adsorbed by other substances. The potassium level can often be maintained by water changes. The use of zeolites and other adsorbers can result in a potassium deficiency. One indication of potassium deficiency is loss of color in corals and the retraction of polyps.
With Tropic Marin® POTASSIUM the potassium concentration can be re-adapted to the natural level and may improve vitality and colors of many corals.
• Essential main nutrient for all organisms
• Improve vitality and colors of many corals
Use the new dosing calculator for an easy determination of the required amount of dosage for your aquarium.
The natural potassium concentration (approx. 408 mg/l) should not be exceeded – higher potassium concentrations can be harmful for sensitive invertebrates. On the other hand, by adjusting the potassium concentration to the natural level with Tropic Marin®POTASSIUM may improve vitality and colors of many corals. Potassium concentration should always be measured before dosing Tropic Marin® POTASSIUM.

Tropic Marin IODINE 50 ML
Regular price $59.00product description
Tropic Marin PRO-CORAL IOD 50 ml trace elements
Manufacturer: Tropic Marin
Lugol´s solution for saltwater aquaria
Of all the trace elements found in natural sea water, iodine is associated with the widest range of effects. Iodine prevents goiter as an important component of the thyroid hormone. It also is essential for the hardening of the chitinous exoskeleton of crustaceans. Coralline red algae deposit iodine in surface structures and gorgoniias deposit it in the axial skeleton.
The natural replenishment with trace elements is not guaranteed in a saltwater aquarium, iodine should be added to a marine aquarium on a regular basis. Experiments clearly show that PRO-CORAL IODINE improves the adaptation to light and the coloring of anthozoa, especially of hard corals. PRO-CORAL IODINE contains iodine in its most effective form, as elementary I2 in a Lugol´s solution.
Benefits:
| • | Lugol´s solution for saltwater aquaria |
| • | Essential trace element for sea dweller |
| • | Improves the adaptation to light and the coloring of anthozoa, especially of hard corals |
How to use:
Add one drop of PRO-CORAL IODINE per 200 l / 50 US gallons of aquarium system water volume in the circulation flow of the system daily. If a dosage day is missed, skip that dose. Do not make up lost days by adding doses together.
Iodine demand increases with aquarium population density. In heavily populated aquaria dosage may be increased up to the maximum dosage below.
Maximum dosage: Do not exceed a maximum dosage of two drops per 50 gallons of aquarium system water volume per day.
PRO-CORAL IODINE has to be stored dark.
